The holidays can (and should) be a time of indulgence that leaves many of us feeling the need to detox. This year, take steps to ensure you’re indulging in self-care as well, so you can stay healthy and happy during the hectic holiday season.
How I adore November – the time of year that we consciously pause to give thanks and to begin planning for the holiday season ahead. And by planning I don’t just mean menu-planning or travel arrangements. This is the time of year when I re-dedicate myself to a ritual of self-care in order to truly enjoy the holidays, free of unnecessary stress. Here are my foolproof steps for maintaining health and well-being through a season of parties, indulgence, and travel:
Book in advance! The holidays seem to arrive faster each year, and we inevitably find ourselves rushing around juggling too many things at once. I like to get my appointments (skin care treatments, haircuts, blowouts, mani pedis) booked and in my calendar well in advance so my beauty is taken care of.
Re-evaluate your routine. The holidays are a great time to rethink your product lineup, especially as the weather cools down and skin dries out. I’ve been thinking about this A LOT lately, and am so excited to announce my new line of eco-friendly products and treatments, Évike, launching at the end of the month! I designed it to address the most common individual skincare issues, and I can’t wait to share it with you.
