Fall is upon us and we can look forward to the weather cooling down. I love the crispness in the air and the smell of wood burning in the fireplace. With the cooling weather, our skin starts getting dryer and tends to need an extra dose of hydration.
Fall is a beautiful season in Hungary, the weather also starts getting crisp and the countryside starts turning a beautiful golden brown. The wine country in Hungary begins to buzz with harvest activities and celebrations. This October, I am happy to offer two specials that will rehydrate your skin and celebrate the harvest and my country.
“Vinum regum, rex vinorum.” translates to “The wine of kings, the king of wines”. Louis the XIV of France declared this motto after his first taste of Hungary’s famous Tokaji Aszu. The wine gets its sweetness and unique taste from the region’s terroir. The vineyards are protected from the Northern winds and the slopes are bathed by a great amount of sunshine. Before penicillin was invented, the pharmacists in Hungary used to sell the 6 “Puttonyos Tokaji Aszu” as medicine. They claimed that the very high concentration of grape sugar, along with “Noble rot,” (botrytis cinerea), had healing effects.
Skin health doesn’t need to be complicated. Exfoliation and hydration is the foundation of healthy, radiant skin. Skin lacking hydration tends to appear irritated and sensitive, which in turn increases the signs of aging. My signaturel treatment removes dead skin cells and extracts impurities while simultaneously bathing the new skin with cleansing, moisturizing and rejuvenating serum with grape skin stem cells. The treatment is soothing and refreshing and immediately effective.
